MODEL HISTORY & PRODUCTION
Porsche’s long-running & much loved 911 Sports Car first appeared at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show in prototype form, the 901. Porsche’s first entirely new model since the 356 had been launched in 1948.

The 1969 model year marked the first major changes to Porsche’s well-received 911. The wheelbase was stretched an additional 2.4 inches, which served to greatly enhance the car’s handling characteristics. The wings were slightly flared to accommodate larger wheels & tyres, and the interior heating & cooling system was improved. Three models were offered, the 911T with Weber carburettors & 911E & 911S models with fuel injection. A total of 3,561 Porsche T Coupes were built by Karmann at Osnabruck.

THIS MOTOR VEHICLE
Known by us as we had this for sale & service in 2020. Now for sale on behalf of its new owner. Looking as stunning as when we saw it last.

Very attractive B-series 911 T was completed on April 15, 1969 and left the factory in its current Blood Orange paint (Code 6809), one of nine standard colours offered, with complimenting Black Leatherette with Corduroy inlays. Its Certificate of Authenticity notes that it was equipped with the Type 901 five-speed transmission, with its dog-leg first gear; the five-gauge instrument package from the more expensive 911S. Delivered to its first owner by Huelpert, Dortmund dealership in Germany to European specification.

After spending time in dry state of California the Porsche 911T was imported by its first UK owner who embarked on a full component off restoration. This work was completed by a marque specialist Lea Peacock of Auto Classica between 2011 & 2014 with many new parts & finished off with period correct refurbished Fuchs wheels, invoices on file. The last owner commissioned Connaught Competition Engine of Kent to commission a full engine rebuild and has covered some 1,300 kilometers.

The current owner purchased the Porsche 911 T in November 2020 & has lovingly cared for it since with maintenance service costs in excess of £5,000 attended to by Porsche marque specialist. Mainly used for Porsche Club events & now looking for its next custodian. Currently on private cherished plate under transfer with DVLA but will be allocated with its original & first UK plate.

Comes serviced in December 2024, new Porsche tool roll kit, jack, spare wheel, handbooks & new service book together with a nice history file containing restoration & service invoices.

This vehicle is available for viewing in the UK on an appointment basis & would suit a collector or enthusiast with whom this vehicle will represent a good acquisition opportunity.
