MODEL HISTORY & PRODUCTION
Porsche’s long-running & much loved 911 Sports Car first appeared at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show in prototype form, the 901. Porsche’s first entirely new model since the 356 had been launched in 1948.

The 1969 model year marked the first major changes to Porsche’s well-received 911. The wheelbase was stretched an additional 2.4 inches, which served to greatly enhance the car’s handling characteristics. The wings were slightly flared to accommodate larger wheels & tyres, and the interior heating & cooling system was improved. Three models were offered, the 911T with Weber carburettors & 911E & 911S models with fuel injection. A total of 3,561 Porsche T Coupes were built by Karmann at Osnabruck.

THIS MOTOR VEHICLE
This very attractive B-series 911 T was completed on April 15, 1969 and left the factory in its current Blood Orange paint (Code 6809), one of nine standard colours offered, with complimenting Black Leatherette with Corduroy inlays. Its Certificate of Authenticity notes that it was equipped with the Type 901 five-speed transmission, with its dog-leg first gear; the five-gauge instrument package from the more expensive 911S. Delivered to its first owner by Huelpert, Dortmund dealership in Germany in European specification.

After spending time in dry state of California the Porsche 911T was imported by the previous owner to the UK & embarked on a full body off restoration. This work was completed by a marque specialist between 2011 & 2014 with many new parts & finished off with period correct refurbished Fuchs wheels. The last owner commissioned a full engine rebuild last year and has covered some 500 run-down miles since.
