1951 Morgan Plus 4 DHC

Rare Earls Court Motor Show Morgan Flat Rad DHC

Vehicle Description

DATE OF MANUFACTURE: 1951 | COLOUR: METALLIC GUNMETAL GREY

This is an extremely rare 1951 +4 Flat Rad Morgan Drop Head Coupe (DHC). The +4 range was produced from 1950 to 1968 and less than 450 of these cars were Drop Head Coupes.

Unlike the Roadster, the Drop Head Coupe had a more luxurious ride and featured a built-up-A-panel and fixed front windscreen. It was widely considered to be more elegant than the roadster due to it’s nicer lines and better protection with the top raised.

Our example has been recently restored and has been re -sprayed in Metallic Gunmetal Grey which is complemented with a Blue double duck roof. This
combination looks stunning on the car and it really needs to be seen to be appreciated. The woodwork on this car has been re-polished and the engine bay is detailed.

The vehicle starts on the button and it’s newly re-built 2.0 litre engine is responsive. The mileage indicates 38,000 miles and this may well be correct as the car was stored in a barn for two decades prior to restoration.
